Bettendorf-Pleasant Valley Youth Baseball is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that provides city-based baseball in the community regardless of financial need. More than 1,100 children, ages 6 to 20, participated again last season, from spring/summer tryouts in late March to the last pitch of our special fall baseball program in mid-October. The 501 3c charity depends on our generous sponsors; other charitable contributions from the community; and a partnership with the cities of Bettendorf, LeClaire and McCausland for use of their baseball diamonds to help offer our program at a minimal cost. (The fee is waived for those demonstrating financial hardship). The BPV also provides various improvements and amenities at the city diamonds, as well as college scholarships to local graduating high school seniors. The BPV also partners with several local leagues, including LeClaire, North Scott, Wapsi and Southeast Little League, to provide competition in several divisions.
